Can You Stand The Rain...

Precious Seeds… Can You Stand the Rain (Reign)?

I want to begin this with three portions of scriptures & then we will get into our subject for today.

Ps. 126:6 He that goeth forth & weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, & that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Matt. 9:37-38

Then sayeth he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.

All throughout the scriptures God refers to sowing & reaping. He makes reference of Harvests & festivals that accompanied the harvests. We are taught over and over about this process. Both in the natural and in the Spiritual.

In Ps. 126:6 as mentioned above, he says “He that goeth forth & weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubles come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”

This scripture speaks of a natural harvest & the process of planting precious seeds, then bringing in his sheaves (his harvest). It talks in the beginning of this scripture how he goes out & weepeth, bearing his precious seeds…

In the natural when we plant a crop & the seeds go into the ground the earth covers the seed. The weight of the earth coupled with the rain, causes change in the seed. The rain activates the seed & it takes root first. The water from the rain softens the seed and the weight of the dirt breaks the outer shell and the seed begins to bring forth life. It begins to grow sprouts that grow and reach for the sun light. Once the sprouts reach the surface of the dirt the sun hits them & they begin to grow higher. But to bring forth fruit the plant must have the right amount of good soil, sun light & rain.

In the Spiritual God refers to us as a “harvest”. In Matt 9:37-38 Jesus is speaking about the crowds that he has felt compassion for when the word says the following: 9:37 “Then sayeth he (Jesus) unto his disciples, the harvest (in reference to the people) truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few”; 38 says “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His Harvest.”

We are this harvest he is speaking of. Jeremiah 17:7-8 says Blessed is the man that trusteth (eth indicates a continual action.) in the Lord, and who’s hope the Lord is. For He shall be as a tree planted by the waters, & that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when the heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; & shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding Fruit.

This describes how God will plant us like a tree by a river. How many have put their trust in God & have been planted? We all raise our hand with excitement on that. We all want to be identified in that great harvest spoken of in Matt. 9:38. However how many will be real enough to talk about the other side of being planted? How many will talk about the process of being that seed that was planted by the river that grew into the tree you are today? How many know that once you’ve been planted & watered you are never the same? The pressure of being planted & the water from the rain bring trauma to the seed and it’s (you are) is never the same! It changes the normal we know when God brings the rain & you grow!! The mighty Oak tree looks nothing like it’s seed (the acorn). How many know change must come? Change to the seed in the natural comes from the rain. Change to the seed (us) in the spiritual comes from the reign of Jesus in our life. What used to be normal, what used to be “cute”, what you used to do & how you used to walk doesn’t work anymore once you’ve been planted, watered & begin to grow.

The storms & rain that change us as seeds that have been planted often come through the effect of actions of people around us, situations, trials, death & attacks. Sometimes our own tears are the rain. My cry is “Let it rain Lord, change me for my destiny! I know I’ll be fine as long as you Reign in the rain Lord.”

The word says “He who goeth forth and weepeth and beareth precious seeds will bring forth fruit. When you are a precious seed you are often crushed & cry more than others. You go through more than others, at times you have to rock yourself to sleep & cry without comfort & wail without relief. You will cry until you have no tears left. But the book of Rev. says God catches your tears in a vile & John Says they become water for your seeds. God said He would not leave you comfortless but in due season you shall reap. However, there are some people that don’t want others bearing precious seeds. They don’t want to put in work themselves, so they try to sabotage others who do put in the work to keep from looking bad themselves. These are the tares that come up among the wheat. They can’t deal with the real seeds that grow into their destiny! They can’t handle real destiny concealed. They only want destiny revealed. They have a microwave mentality. This is why you see some people come in and try to take over a ministry that they have not sown into because they see it thriving. Also, this is why some people only go after men/women who are happily married. They want the finished product but don’t want to go through the process!! What they don’t understand is that there is something strong about going through the planting, crushing & the watering that makes it legitimately yours!! There is an anointing that comes from that crushing & that watering process that you can’t get from any other process. Anything else is counterfeit & fake.

Until you raise an acorn up to be an Oak Tree you can’t fully appreciate how tall it stands & the shade it provides unless you were a part of the process of growth from how small it started to the finished product. Some people want to step into the finished product because they don’t understand the power of the process! There is strength in the process! There is strength that comes to you from the growth process. In this process of gardening you have to get your hands dirty & put your hands on the seed & the plant as it grows. You have to deal with the rain, weed out obstacles & add in what will make growth possible. You must allow water to get to what is good and right in your life. Stop watering dead bones from your past. Don’t water what’s not meant to grow in your life. You have to fight for what God is trying to birth out of you. Fight for your spouse! You have to fight to get married & then fight to keep him or her. The same thing you did to get them you must continue to do to keep them and more. These are Spiritual battles. Fight for him/her, not against him/her. What it took to get them is what it will take to keep them. Let that sink in for a minute. Just like in marriage… the same things you did in the beginning of your walk with God you have to continue to do to grow, and more. Our walk with God is a marriage between the Bride Groom and the Bride (the church). We can rest assured HE will do His part… We are the ones that need to work on it. You can’t just stop fighting, pressing and praying just because you get what you want. If you do you will only scratch the surface and never grow to bring forth fruit in your life, your walk with God, your marriage, the ministry God is giving you, or anything else you put your hand to. Don’t get comfortable once the anointing you fought for is open to you. Keep in mind that if you can handle the fight, God will open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing you can’t receive. It will be too big.

If you can handle the crushing, the rain, the growth… If you can handle Jesus’ reign in your life… If you can handle the process God will bring a harvest in your life from your precious seeds that will blow your mind. So now I leave it with you. Will you accept the process? Will you allow God to plant you and reign in your life? Will you allow Him to bring forth fruit from you? If your answer is “Yes” then pray & ask Him what He would have you to do & then answer the call. Learn to walk in His will and learn to dance in HIS reign.

Love to you all from the desk of:
