"Daddy's Hand"

As I was sitting in church this Sunday Morning a young Father in the next row got up and walked his small daughter out to go to her class. She is around 1 1/2 or 2 years old. As they walked He held her hand. When they turned the corner at the end of the pew she stumbled & fell. He held fast to her hand and his grip on her hand never failed or let go. He never missed a beat and paused only to give her support as she got back up. Then without missing a step they began to walk again hand in hand. All of a sudden I heard God say what a perfect picture of the father's love. He did not judge her fall, he just helped her up and they walked off together. Never missed a beat other than the brief moment of pause for him to support her while she got up. He waited for her to pick herself up while he held her hand to stable her balance. What a beautiful type and shadow of what Jesus does with us. He never let's go of our hand as we walk & if we fall He never turns us loose, but rather pauses only long enough to help us up. Then when we are up He begins to help us walk again! He never turns our hand loose. He supports us as we begin to walk again. What a beautiful picture of God's love for us, His Children...

As this picture played out before me in the natural and birthed in my spirit a picture of Jesus holding my hand the many times I have fallen or failed and how He lovingly just stood there holding my hand waiting for me to stop crying, pouting, sulking, got mad, hurt, screamed that was not fair & wanting to quit. He never let go of my Hand and he steadied my balance as I began to get up. In this I realized that we can rest assured that if we have fallen, (and we all have at times.) we can believe that Jesus never let go of our hand. He said in Deuteronomy 31:8 8 "And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed." He will never leave us nor forsake us. Never means Never!! I says in Hebrews 12:2 a "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;" The author of something is the one that begins it. The finisher is the one that ends it. So these scriptures tell me that He begins with us, He never leaves us nor forsakes us while we are on this journey through our life, and He is the finisher of our faith. So He is with us until the very end of our life. I feel safe in saying that He was with me & us throughout our while life. This is including the times we fall. He also said in "Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our LORD." it also says in John 10:28-30 "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one." This gives me so much confidence in our Heavenly Father that He will never let me go. He doesn't look at us when we fall and say "Oh, I'm done with them." "They have gone too far." NO, Just like us with our children and even more so because He is perfect we are not, but just like with our children when they fall we don't give up on them because our hearts will not let them go. God knew we were not perfect, that was the reason for Calvary. He knows the end to the beginning and He knew we would fail before He even said let there be light every time we would fall or every time we would fail. Yet He called us anyway. He reached for us and He came here manifested in the flesh, in Jesus Christ, suffered, and then died for our sins on the cross. He did all this knowing every time we would fall but He loves us so much that He will never let us go, in spite of our faults and failures, and when we fall He stands by us, holding our hand and balances us until we get up. I hear it right now as I type this in the back of my mind, just so you know... the amount of time it takes to get up and begin to walk again is up to you. it's up to me how long I sulk or pout or cry or allow pain of betrayal to rack my soul. God is just standing there waiting for me to get it together and get up. Just like the father in church that stood holding his baby daughter's hand as she sat on the floor after her fall, he stayed right there holding her hand, waiting for her to get up. Once she was up and stabled by his strong hand, they walked off together like the fall never happened. This is what our sweet Jesus does for us. He holds our hand, even during the fall, never lets us go and waits for us to get up. He holds fast to our hand to help us find our stability and then He helps us walk on from the fall like it never happened. He loves us so much. So today I want you to know that God is holding your hand. He has you safely tucked in the palm of his hand and he is waiting for you to get up so you can walk on with Him. Don't allow your fall, or your failure, or your depression, your pain, your sickness, your mistake or your fear keep you sitting there while God is holding your hand waiting for you to get up. Fix your mind, your heart and then go fix the situation. Get up and walk. He will help you stable yourself while you are getting up. So I say to you Hold to His unchanging hand and get up. Walk on my friend. Walk forward with my sweet Jesus. He is there with you waiting. So let's go. Who are we to keep the Master waiting... Get up. Look to the hills from whence cometh your help. Call on your Daddy and ask Him to hold your hand as you get up. It's time to let the past go and walk on. I am praying for you and myself in this walk. God knows what happened and he loves you still. So let's go.

I pray this helped you as much as it helped me. Jesus never ceases to amaze me in how he talks to me. I am thankful for this Father and his baby daughter in church and for her fall to help me see the hand of Jesus in my own life. :) He is faithful.
